The music in this album is made for an audio/visual performance called Offenes System. 3 different chemical experiments are performed live on stage, captured in close-up with an HD video-camera and projected directly onto a large screen, without any digital image manipulation. Etkin Cekin builds up soundscapes out of drones which are generated live with guitar, voice and synthesizer.The chemical reactions are never fully predictable, partly controlled by us, partly self-generating. As the sense of scale and matter gets lost, the reactions leaves room for varieties of free association - may them being emotional, spacial, vegetative, climatic, cosmic or just something else.
